To say that the aughts were memorable to me would be a vast understatement. Started the 2000 as an idealistic 20-year young man, but ended the decade as a 30-year old with more questions than answers. Aristotle nailed it when he said, 'the more you know, the more you know you don't know.' But at least now, I've learned how to stop being worked up about things and just live. I'm telling you, it certainly is easier that way.
And with the numerous things that have happened to me the past decade, through the travels across borders and through the triumphs and the heartache, there has been one thing that has always been a constant. It is music. With the piles of CDs and gigabytes of MP3s I have accumulated over the years, these songs aren't merely about filling the silence that surrounds me. The music I listen to is a reflection of where my heart is. It is a treasure trove of memories.
